“Driving Explosive Business Growth”
November 4th, 2016 – Lunch Presentation 11:00am-1:00pm
Founder and CEO – SunFrog Shirts
Josh founded SunFrogShirts.com in 2013 and quickly grew the company from $1 million to $100 million dollars in sales and from 16 staff members to currently over 400! Josh now finds himself at the helm of an online giant that continues to grow consistently, expand exponentially and develop proactively. In 2015 he was honored as one of Michigan’s Top 50 Business Entrepreneurs of the year. He’s also listed as one of the Top 25 entrepreneurs to watch by Entrepreneur.com and was recently featured in Inc.com as an industry disrupter. It’s not hard to see why he is getting all this attention and accolades.
Born leader, extreme sports enthusiast and serial entrepreneur, Josh has redefined the face of online marketing—bringing technology, workflow, social media and imaginative internal software together to create the perfect formula for success.
Born and raised in a small town near SunFrog’s headquarters (Gaylord, MI) he taught himself to program and build websites and took a job with a small local computer firm shortly after graduating from high school. Soon after, Josh launched several successful entrepreneurial endeavors leading up to the wild success at Sunfrog today. In addition to serving as the CEO of SunFrog, Josh is considered an authority in both technological and business circles and a frequently requested speaker.
What does it take to build a start-up into a nationally recognized company in less than 3 years with an annual growth rate of more than 1000%? Attendees at our series kick-off event in November will find out. SunFrog Shirt Founder and CEO Josh Kent will share his personal story of success, failure and the lessons learned along the way leading up to his company’s present standing as the largest T-shirt company in the United States. Josh will share how his company has been able to compete globally while staying local and how he leverages technology and social media to drive unbelievable levels of revenue and web traffic. Josh will also explain the three keys to driving business in today’s economy that can apply to any industry. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a rapidly rising star making headlines across the country who is living and doing business in our own Northern Michigan backyard
Author Ryan Holiday explains why he thinks traditional marketing approaches just don’t work like they did before and why he thinks “Growth Hacking” will give a higher return on your marketing dollar. A growth hacker has one main objective: grow the number of users for any given product. The book illustrates how Growth Hackers focus on finding innovative ways to acquire users often outside of normal prescribed routes. There are some examples of products that have grown to millions of users without hardly any marketing at all! (Think Facebook, Dropbox and Twitter). The author applied his “Growth Hacker” strategies to this book and has ended up with a #1 bestseller in Amazon’s Global Marketing category.
